so.. i haven't made a post in 3 days. AND THATS NOT MY FAULT!!!! okay so my last post was june 3rd amd then on the 4th i had a crazy ass day at work we got completely slammed in the last 2 hours and so when i got home i just took a shower and went to bed. i was not thinking 'wow let me write an entry for my monthly challenge!' no dawg i was thinking Let's hit the hay and call it a day (wow that rhymes). yesterday i have less of an excuse i was just in the city and when i got back i was tired from walking around and whatnot and had an early appointment the next day (aka today) and so i went to bed early: lights out by 10. i'm gonna make 2 mini entries in this entry to make up for what i didn't do the past two days okay awesome

6/4: ive been working the same summer job for a few years now just because its reliable, decent pay, and i know the people there so it's comfortable and easy to return to. i like all my co-workers we're all like high school to college students working in the front and so everyone is able to get along and joke and stuff and then our manager is obviously an Adult with a wife and kids but he's funny and chill so everything is great. the start of this year was pretty slow mainly due to weather stuff but now that private schools in the area are out for summer, it's getting busier by the day; and so of course the day we got slammed randomly happened because 2 private schools near the area had just gotten out for summer. we made decent tips though like i walked away with $100 in tips for the day on top of 9 hrs hourly pay so thanks for the money i guess. taking a moment to complain about these two people who had checks that were $115-170 dollars each and they didn't tip at all. just mean like wtff this is why we're slapping british people. i do, however, respect that more than people who just leave without closing their check so they don't have to face us while not leaving a tip. we know what you're doing and you are nott slick. the next 3 days for me are all full shifts at work and i think i might kill myself so im gonna see if anyone wants to try and cover at least half a shift of mine on monday because lord knows im not surviving a full weekend and then a Monday. give me some grace pleasee.

6/5: so i went into the city (downtown flushing to be exact) and i love going to all the little mini 'countries' in the city like little italy, ktown,  chinatown, etc. i especially love little italy and mott street chinatown because of the lights they hang over the streets and even the big 'welcome to little italy' sign that really makes you feel like you're stepping into a little community while still obviously being in nyc because of the buildings and layout. i saw someone the other day say that being in flushing felt like 'being in china in new york' which i mean yeah that seems obvious because its chinatown in new york but i like how the size of the city allows for a place where you can experience all sorts of things while still realizing that you're connected through The City tm. whenever im in the city i try to avoid getting things ive gotten before because i know theres so many good things (food. let me be clear im talking about food) i havent tried yet and if i were to just eat the same things sure i'd be happy but i might miss something else. i have only failed this when i got the pork bun from mei lai wah twice but in my defense it was good as hell and i also paid both times with cash so i had ZERO line. okay but speaking of that people need to bring more cash around. the 2nd time i went to MLW i literally skipped a huge ass line and got my pork bun in 30 seconds all because i had $4 of cash on me. it was that easy. so advice is just bring cash. imma make a post on what i ate in flushing with reviews for today's post so stay tuned for that thanks

one of my favorite activities to do is look up random combinations of two cuisines. italian-mexican fusion. chinese-italian fusion. indian-japanese fusion. all of these sound good as hell and honestly maybe thats just because i'm taking the names of 2 genres of foods that i like and mashing them together but whatever. when someone makes a good quality italian-mexican restauarant let me know and i will be there. but don't serve me some nonsense like 'spaghetti tacos' because yes that WAS one of the first results on google for italian mexican fusion dishes. bro.. im not eating that.

i've had such a complete day so far! :) wake up and getting dressed was a little rushed, and i showed up at the wrong place for class; but after that, it was smooth sailing! my history class today went to a "transcription event" for Douglass Day (in celebration of Fredrick Douglass) because wdgaf about valentines day. not in a 'booo im single so i hate people in love' way (those people need to be quiet sometimes like WE GET IT ur miserable) but in a 'im not in a relationship and don't wanna be in one so idc' kinda way. anyways, the event was super simple: we helped transcribe some historical documents for the national archives and got free food w/ it. i had 2 chocolate cupcakes because they were delicious. usually, i don't eat until after 7pm but i'm not missing the opportunity to eat free cupcakes.

after that class ended, i just had to go down some stairs and across a small opening to reach the philosophy department. my intro 2 philosopher professor made the class do a 'name quiz' where we had to memorize each others names based on faces. unfortunately, i was in an appointment when the quiz was given in class (where he would just point to 5 people in the class and ask for their names). this meant i had to make up the test with the head of the philosophy department. we made the meeting on tuesday for friday (aka today) so i showed up and took the quiz. in a different room than her. an empty room. brah easiest quiz of all time thank youu that was awesome sauce. this department head also always has a table w/ food and snacks right outside her room as well as tonss of more snacks in her room for anyone to take. the first time i saw it, i thought it was food for staff. but the 2nd time, i saw a student take a donut and this time, someone took cheesecake and water. i think that idea is super cute; i love when professors provide for their students.

after that i decided 'okay i should probably go to the gym since i had 2 cupcakes' and also wtf else was i gonna do until 6 when i had club, or 7 when fortnite friday will start (lets all tune in btw and support ConnorEatsPants career). i walked for like an hour and then saw this girl jogging and said 'hey im gonna jog too' and so walking turned into jogging turned into running turned into 'holy moly i need water nowww im gonna faint and throw up'. but i already told myself i wouldnt leave until 4pm so i danced for an extra 20 minutes until it hit 4. so gym was from likee 1:40-4 which is good. the walk to the gym is super cold (i mentioned this on twitter LOL) and my jacket isnt enough to keep me warm; BUT! the walk back from the gym? when you're hot and sweating and tired from working out? best walk ever, didnt even wear my jacket (ok its like a brandy sweatshirt but wtv im gonna say jacket) and just enjoyed the cold air.

i got back and my roommate was just in her bed hiding under the covers watching tiktoks (as she does) so i took a shower and played some music with the speaker we all share. i usually only play music in the shower if i'm A) in the mood, and B) the only one in the apartment, but for some reason i really wanted to hear 'supernatural' by newjeans so i played that and a couple other hits. OH!!!! also, the reason i walked so long in the gym around the track was because i played a bunch of love-themed songs for valentines day such as what is love? (twice), tipi-tap (kep1er), magnetic (illit), cherries jubilee (yukika), and a ton more! but yeah anyways i took a "everything shower" as some people call it so i felt all nice and clean and happy. i also tried thinning my brows a little this morning since it's a staple of jirai makeup/fashion but i'm also scared of change so i just did a little lol. it looks good tho! at least, i think so.

now its 6 so my club has already started buttt my phone needs to charge because after the gym + playing music in the shower it was at 10%. rn im gonna take my meds, bring my computer to club (to do an assignment i have due tonight. or to just play around who knows), see what food options are avaliable for dinner tonight, and then go to the club. and also enjoy fortnite friday. and also i might be spending saturday at my aunt's house to see her new puppy idk yet :3 ok thats it for now i just have enjoyed my day so far and it's made me feel very fufilled. the only think i regret today is the 2 cupcakes but we move on nonetheless!

you ever get so bored you start going down a rabbit hole that ends at chinese toy story yaoi fanfic? yeah me too.

this started because someone posted an edited version of a 'blooper' from Pixar's Cars on twitter; y'know how some animated movies create fake 'bloopers' as if the animated characters are real actors who are making mistakes? yeah, like those. anyways, that video made me remember that those existed and so i searched up 'pixar cars bloopers' on google and got linked to a ~15 minute long video containing the animated bloopers from multiple pixar movies. it started with bugs, then went into toy story. during the toy story section i was like 'yo lowkey has anyone ever shipped buzz and woody? they had to have". thus begun my journey to archiveofourown.net or whatever the website address is to search for this ship.

to no ones surprise, it does exist. it did take me longer than i expected though. there was a considerable amount of bo peep/woody and bo peep/buzz fanfiction which threw me off because i thought the only people crazy enough to make toy story shipping fanfic would be fujos, but i guess i was wrong. heres the link to the chinese one i mentioned; i cant read it and am not interested enough in buzz lightyear x woody pride (yes, woody has a last name. i didn't know this either) to bother making a translation attempt. shoutout to all the animators that make fake bloopers. we love you
